Web poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a figure in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out money even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
